JOB DESCRIPTION
The Marine Supervisor is responsible for supervising proper operation of systems/equipment as defined in tables below, including mooring and offloading operations and crude oil washing of the crude oil tanks.
The Marine Supervisor is fully responsible for the safety in own area of authority and shall ensure that all subordinates, including sub-contractors working within own area of authority possess the necessary safety training at any time.
DUTIES
· Ensure that stability calculations are made daily.
· Ensure that the structural loads during anchoring or transit do not exceed the maximum permissible load for the ship.
· Supervise loading and unloading of supplies and equipment etc. and distribution of fuel and water to the different tanks onboard.
· Ensure the oil log book is updated.
· Be Deputy for the OIM;
· Report all carried-out maintenance into the maintenance system.
· Ensure that all instruction books concerning his/her operational area are updated and available.
· Supervise the execution of the surface treatment onboard, in cooperation with other supervisors.
· Responsible for the safe execution of offloading operations, as well as maintenance and inspections related to this system are done on schedule.
· Responsible for the lifting operations of cargo and personnel, including transfer operations between the Unit and other vessels, keeping the records and inspections / maintenance as required.
· Carry out the duties and tasks as specified in the Emergency Response Plan
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications:
Valid STCW certificate as Master, Chief Mate according to STCW Rule II/2
Experience from fixed/mobile installations or preferably mobile production unit
Consolidated offshore experience in Brazil
Fluent English
