JOB DESCRIPTION

The Cargo Supervisor aboard FPSO (Floating Production, Storage, and Offloading) vessel is responsible for overseeing and managing the cargo operations, including the loading, storage, and offloading of oil and gas. This role demands a deep understanding of standard operating procedures, safety regulations, and environmental practices in the offshore sector. Below is a detailed description of the typical responsibilities, skills, and qualifications associated with this position: - Supervise and coordinate the loading and unloading operations of crude oil, gas, and other chemical products, ensuring these are conducted safely, efficiently, and in compliance with environmental regulations.
- Manage cargo transfer operations, including planning, preparation, and monitoring of pumping operations.
- Maintain cargo-related documentation, including cargo manifests and operation logs, ensuring accurate recording of cargo quantities handled.
- Collaborate with deck and engine staff to ensure vessel stability and cargo operation safety.
- Constantly monitor cargo control and safety systems aboard the vessel, taking action in case of anomalies or emergencies.
- Actively participate in emergency management and emergency drill activities on board.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, international regulations, and local laws regarding safety, maritime security, and environmental protection.
- Oversee the maintenance and inspection of cargo handling equipment to ensure their operability and safety.

REQUIREMENTS

- Previous FPSO experience;
- Proven experience in a cargo supervisor role or similar position aboard FPSOs.
- In-depth knowledge of international regulations related to maritime safety, pollution prevention, and cargo operations.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in international teams.
- Ability to handle high-pressure situations and make quick decisions in emergencies.
- Certificate of Competency II/2 ;
