JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for an high skilled DPO Second Mate to join a DP2 AHTS vessel (D Class).
The selected candidate will be responsible for assisting the Chief Mate in all navigational, operational, and DP-related duties. The primary focus of this role will be on towing, rig-moves, and winch operations. The ability to work effectively in high-pressure situations and maintain a strong focus on safety is essential.


MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

-Assist the Chief Mate in all navigational and operational duties, including but not limited to anchoring, mooring, cargo handling, and deck operations.
-Operate the vessel's DP system effectively and efficiently to maintain the vessel's position during various operations.
-Participate in rig-moves, towing operations, and winch operations, ensuring the safe and efficient execution of tasks.
-Monitor and maintain the vessel's stability, trim, and draft, making necessary adjustments as required.
-Conduct regular inspections of lifesaving, firefighting, and safety equipment to ensure their proper functioning.
-Maintain accurate navigational records, including logs, charts, and other relevant documents.
-Assist in training and mentoring junior deck officers and deck ratings.
-Follow all safety procedures and regulations, including adhering to company policies, international regulations, and industry best practices.

REQUIREMENTS

- Proven esperienze on board DP2 AHTS over 6000GT and over 180tons Bollard Pull
- Towing, rig-moves and winch operations experience is essential
- Full DP Certificate
- Fluent English
- COVID-19 vaccination
- Previous experience in North Sea preferable but not mandatory
- Fluent English
